Instructions
Sometimes the only way to learn about someone’s perspective on climate change or environmental issues, is to not talk directly about them.
Use this virtual card deck to find Common Ground with others by centering both of your lived experiences and to try to better meet people where they are at in climate conversations.
These cards will also deepen your understanding of your relationship with nature, and support you in imagining new ways to foster hopeful mindsets around climate and environmental action.
1) The cards are available in both English and French, and you can move between them by clicking on the preferred language
2) There are two types of cards, 101s and 201s. You can tell the difference by the colour: 101s are green, and 201s are blue!
3) The cards are randomized, and you will get a new prompt by clicking “New Card”
4) The prompts can be used for personal reflection, but are designed to be used in conversation with other people. Bring your friends together to chat, use them with students in class, bring family members into the conversation, or even use to chat with someone new!
Get in touch with us at hello@youthclimatelab.org if you need any support, and tag us on social media @youthclimatelab to share your conversation stories!
